Story
Synopsis
A 23 year old young woman Noni, from the city of Johannesburg finds herself trapped in her home with her abusive father. She wakes up one morning, smiling more than ever to the thought that she has peace over her life. To her surprise, she finds out that the war between her and her abusive father is not over. Noni then resorts to extreme measures as she believes that she can no longer be in their never ending war.

When a timid young woman is unable to break free from her abusive father, she resorts to the extreme to release herself from the imprisonment of her state of mind.

DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT
As writers, we have always wanted to make a movie about abuse. not picky about which form but abuse and having to be in a space that allowed us to write expressively. Right now seemed like the perfect time to explore the effects of physical and emotional abuse on a young woman. We wanted to create awareness around the issue of abuse against women in South Africa and how it impacts them later in life. This is an important message to send as the scourge of abuse against women in our country continues to destroy their lives. Its time all South Africans sit up, take notice and support meaningful action towards addressing this. We want the world to see what she sees with her naked eyes and understand why she handles situations the way she does. Although her outcome is not normal but it is meant to be understandable.
